Memorial Checklist
Most people have never purchased a headstone before so we’ve developed this checklist to help you prepare for our conversation. If you don’t have all the information or unsure what you’d like to do, that’s no problem at all. We’ll explain your options and give you the time and space to make the decisions that are right for you.
- Name of the cemetery the memorial will be placed in and the number of graves you own
- The specific grave location provided to you by the cemetery (generally a grave, lot, block and/or section number)
- Name of deceased and their dates of birth and death
- If there are any other family members buried in the adjacent grave(s) or existing markers that we will need to match
- If you’d like a photo of the person on the memorial and if you’ve selected the photo you’d like to use
- The style of memorial you prefer (flat granite, raised granite, upright monument, flat bronze marker or a private mausoleum)
- The color of granite you’d like to use
- What type of design you’d like featured on the memorial. We have hundreds of designs to choose from or we can use your artwork
- What you’d like inscribed on the headstone. You may know exactly how you want the memorial to read or we can provide some helpful suggestions.
